A Mental Health Update
Mental health. It’s all very important for everyone. But I feel like the younger generation is more familiar of the importance of mental health. they’re actively taking the time to cater to their self health, while our parents have given their mental health to their children, or it seems like it.
My mom’s mental health has been good. She’s always a strong and driven person. Never showing weakness. So it’s hard to see her break down sometime, or to see her struggling. But that’s reality, and we’re all trying to get used to our new reality.
She’s starting to loose her hair. Every time she runs her fingers through her hair, a good chunk will come out. Showers are now being dreaded. It’s hard for her to watch, but she rather go through with this than shaving off her hair off.
Our new normal is embracing the little victories, and enjoying quality time in between her naps. She appreciates all of her visitors so far, it brings light into the home, and joy on her face.
Thank you for being there for her.
